October 2009

Seniors Recreation Council of WA Inc. AGM
The Annual General Meeting of Seniors Recreation Council was held on Wednesday 30th September. This was a significant, even historical, event. The governance/structure of SRC has been further developed to include all of our “Accredited Volunteers” as members of the Council which now numbers 74. So it was great to see so many of them attending the AGM and participating in the decision making process.

I am privileged to have been re-elected as president for a further three year term, a period which promises to be as exciting as any previous times. Forming the SRC Board of Management with me are Vice Presidents, Leigh Davis and Phil Paddon, Treasurer, Quentin Smythe, Branch President representative, Jan McGlinn and Accredited Volunteer representative, John Slattery. The complete, new, constitution can be viewed here on our website.

Also a huge thank you to all the volunteers who came along on the day to help with the setting up of over 350 chairs and 30 tables, the scoring and tea and coffee provision.
