The 2018 SRCWA Rockingham LiveLighter Aged Care Games were held at the Baldivis Recreation Centre off Fifty Road. Eight teams enthusiastically took part in a range of games developed specifically for seniors who may require care.
Local member for Baldivis Reece Whitby MLA welcomed all participants to the games and officially declared the 2018 SRCWA Rockingham LiveLighter Aged Care Games open. Thank you, Reece, for your support of this unique fun event for seniors.
After 4 hours of fierce competition, third place went to Dalmacia (Villa Dalmacia Aged Care), Second place going to The Loveables (Bethanie Waters) and first place was taken out by The Terminators (Silver Chain Rockingham).
The best presented team award went to The Happy Hippies (Banksia Park). This year our oldest competitor, was 97 years young Nesta Reed, of the Italian Stallions. The participants were treated to a dance show performed by Swing and Sway at the lunch break, thank you Swing and Sway for a most enjoyable performance. SRCWA thanks and acknowledges the hard work by the SRCWA Rockingham Branch committee and volunteers, the Team from Wooroloo, SRCWA State volunteers and staff and those who helped to make this event enjoyable for the participants and such a great success.
