Long Business Description The Australian Model Ship Society (AMSS) formed in 1984, is a Perth, Western Australian, based group of marine hobby enthusiasts. Our members have fully operational radio controlled yachts, steamboats and powerboats, either working scale models or built specifically for racing. Others have static models, “stand off” or near scale models and some have interesting models of marine engines and ships. We have some highly gifted members who are experienced in metal working and machining whose skills have been used in the building of operational marine steam engines and boiler plant. On days suited to this type of watercraft a variety of steam driven models may be seen plying our sailing waters.
