Benefits of SRCWA as a resource
Seniors Recreation Council of WA promotes activity programs, community centres, wellness classes, and social engagement opportunities which all play a powerful role in supporting healthier, happier, and more independent ageing. Research consistently shows that recreational engagement offers physical, cognitive, emotional, and social benefits for older adults.
It was a pleasure for Colin Steer (SRCWA State President), Richard Dermody (SRCWA Branch Liaison Representative), Dawn Yates (SRCWA Executive Officer) and Martin Yates (SRCWA Tech Savvy Seniors Manager) to meet with Amy and Tayla from the Shire of Moora at the The Delmoor Centre.
This visit provided a valuable opportunity for SRCWA to share resources and highlight the many benefits the organisation offers. It was also wonderful to see the strong support the Shire of Moora provides to seniors across the local and surrounding communities.
