On Thursday 19 March 2026, SRCWA proudly partnered with the City of Wanneroo to deliver a successful LiveLighter Activity Information Day at the Pearsall Hocking Community Centre.
Despite the very warm weather, around 130 people, including community members and static site holders, attended the event, demonstrating strong interest in staying active, informed, and connected. Attendees had the opportunity to explore services from 20 local organisations, all focused on supporting the seniors demographic.
In addition to visiting the information stalls, many seniors rolled up their sleeves and joined in hands-on activities, including archery, heart sports, and pole walking, highlighting the range of fun and accessible ways to stay active at any age.
The day began with a warm welcome from SRCWA State President Colin Steer, setting a positive and inclusive tone for the event. Guests also enjoyed a variety of food and refreshments, thoughtfully aligned with the LiveLighter healthy living message. On display was a selection of images from the Faces of Wanneroo Photography Exhibition where a collection of residents from the City of Wanneroo had their image and story on show.
SRCWA sincerely thanks and acknowledges:
• City of Wanneroo staff and volunteers
• SRCWA’s dedicated volunteers
• The hardworking team from Wooroloo
We also extend our appreciation to LiveLighter, Healthway, and the WA Government for their ongoing funding and support, which makes events like this possible.
The LiveLighter Activity Information Day was a wonderful example of collaboration, community spirit, and a shared commitment to healthy ageing.
