Bunbury LiveLighter Activity Information Day 21st March 2025

The LiveLighter Seniors Activity Information Day in Bunbury was held on Friday, March 21st, 2025, at the South West Sports Complex, and it was a fantastic day! Over 40 local and regional businesses and organizations joined forces to provide helpful information and loads of fun activities for the many seniors and community members who came along.

A big thank you to our naming rights partner LiveLighter Healthway for their support , the City of Bunbury for their major grant. Thank you also to Harcourts APG, Dome, Barr and Standley Real Estate, and the Government of Western Australia for their incredible support. Attendees had the chance to try a variety of activities, including Walking Football, Seniors Ballet Exercise Classes, Heart Sports, and Pole Walking – just to name a few!

SRCWA State President Colin Steer kicked off the event with a warm welcome and then invited Deputy Mayor of Bunbury, Councillor Tresslyn Smith, to officially open the day. Thank you so much for your support, Tresslyn!

Thank you Bunbury Community Radio 103.7 FM for broadcasting live from the event.

A special shoutout to the students from SEDA College WA, who encouraged everyone to get involved and “Have a Go.” Your enthusiasm really made the day extra special and fun for everyone!

We’d also like to express our heartfelt thanks to the SRCWA Bunbury Branch, led by Branch President Barbara Fleay, and her wonderful team of volunteers who worked so hard to make this event such a success. And a big thank you to our amazing MC, Cliff Reeve, for keeping everything running smoothly, , and Bruce Clapp who sang a resounding rendition of the National Anthem.

We couldn’t have done it without the help of the SRCWA Head Office Staff, the Southwest Sports Centre, and the City of Bunbury – your support made everything come together so well.

Once again a huge thank you to City of Bunbry LiveLighter Healthway and The Government of Western Australia for their ongoing support.
