Teams take part in Joondalup LiveLighter Aged Care Games

The 19th Joondalup LiveLighter Aged Care Games was held on Monday 5th September 2022 at Bouncer Sports Centre. Our team registrations grew this year from 6 to 8, the games were lots of fun and the teams that attended really had a good time.
SRCWA State Vice President Graham Bennett our MC for the games did a great job, instructing the volunteers and managing the games, thanks Graham. Emily Hamilton, MLA Member for Joondalup visited all the teams, officially opened the games, and welcomed all those in attendance. Mark Folkard, MLA Member for Burns Beach, also attended and visited all the teams. Emily and Mark we are thankful for your continuing support encouragement of the work of SRCWA especially the LiveLighter Aged Care Games.
Moira J Scott provided a great show and entertainment at lunchtime, many thanks Moira for your wonderful entertainment.
The “Best Presented” team on the day was Woodlake Warriors The Golden Oldies. In third place was Umbrella Rock Stars, second place was Active “Team Red”, and first place was Woodlake Warriors The Golden Oldies. Our oldest competitors on the day a sprightly 99-year-old, Maria Hawley of Umbrella the Hawaiians.
SRCWA thanks and acknowledges the hard work by the team from SRCWA volunteers, and individuals who helped to make this memorable event a great success.
Thank you to our naming rights partner LiveLighter Healthway and the Government of Western Australia for making this event possible.
