Lots of Fun and Games at the Rockingham LiveLighter Aged Care Games

The “SRCWA Rockingham LiveLighter Aged Care Games were held at the Baldivis Recreation Centre off Fifty Road on Thursday 25th August 2022. On a lovely sunny day, four teams enthusiastically took part in a range of games developed specifically for seniors who may require care.

City of Rockingham Deputy Mayor Hayley Edwards welcomed all participants to the games and officially declared the 2022 SRCWA Rockingham LiveLighter Aged Care Games open. Thank you, Hayley, for your support of this unique fun event for seniors.

After 4 hours of fierce competition, third place went to “The Oaks” (Brightwater), Second place going to the “Indians ” (Villa Dalmacia) and first place was taken out by “Italian Village Fremantle”.

The best presented team award went to the “Indians” (Villa Dalmacia) dressed as Red Indians. This year our oldest competitor,  was 94 years young competitor Bosko Borkovic (Villa Dalmacia).  The participants were treated to performance by Jim and Jenny’s Country at the lunch break, thank you Jim and Jenny for a most enjoyable performance. SRCWA thanks and acknowledges the hard work by the SRCWA Rockingham Branch committee and volunteers,  SRCWA State volunteers and staff and those who helped to make this event so enjoyable for the participants and such a great success.
