Justine Esmonde, Community Engagement Specialist at nbn local – South East WA, delivered an enlightening and engaging talk on connectivity and the various methods of accessing the internet. She explained that an “nbn connection” refers to an internet service provided through Australia’s National Broadband Network (NBN). The NBN uses a combination of fibre optic cables, copper phone lines, fixed wireless, and satellite technology to deliver high-speed broadband access to homes and businesses across the country. In essence, it provides the infrastructure needed to access the internet at faster speeds compared to older technologies.
