On Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025, seniors from Rockingham and the surrounding areas gathered for the 2024 Have a Go Day – a LiveLighter event, held at the Mike Barnett Sports Centre in the City of Rockingham. Dawn Yates SRCWA Executive Officer welcomed everyone to the event and invited City of Rockingham Mayor Deb Hamblin to open the event. Thank You Mayor Deb Hamblin
Around 1,200 people attended, exploring a wide variety of static displays and activities from clubs, groups, not-for-profit organizations, and commercial businesses. This year, attendees had the chance to take part in health checks and enjoy a range of fun activities, including Indoor Archery, Corn Hole (Bean Bag Toss), Carpet Bowls, Carpet Golf, Bob (Table Snooker), Handbells, Hart Sport Activities, Hover Soccer, Pickleball, Pole Walking, Quoits, Square Dancing, the Happy Feat Dance Group, and Table Tennis. It was an enjoyable day for everyone!
The winners of the free raffle were:

3rd Prize: Fresh Fruit & Veg Box – Phil
A special thank you goes to the Rotary Club of Palm Beach, who helped manage traffic and parking – great job, team! The Lions Club of Rockingham also served up a delicious sausage sizzle, including vegan options.
LiveLighter provided plenty of fresh fruit, including apples, bananas, oranges, plums, and nectarines, which were given away for free as a reminder of their message: “Eat a rainbow of foods to LiveLighter.”
